MLS 4613 - Communications in Medical Laboratory Sciences

3 Hours. Lecture/discussion of topics of concern in medicine that deal with patient and health provider communication. Students will present 3 separate 15-minute oral discussions regarding new techniques, new discoveries and patient communication in clinical laboratory sciences. Lecture presented through electronic media for distance learning students enrolled in MLS program. Student presentations are on site via teleconference or program director visit. Prerequisite: Admission into Medical Laboratory Science Degree Completion program and permission of the MLS program director.
