TECH 4723 - Materials Management Handling3 Credit Hours
The study of the concepts, models, and systems for material management and production planning. Materials flow from raw material acquisition through the finished product is examined. Materials management covers the basics of supply chain management, manufacturing planning and the control systems, purchasing, vendor-managed inventory, inventory evaluation, physical distribution, and performance metrics.
Prerequisite: TECH 4003 Production Planning.
Cross-listed: SCM 4723.
Note: Credit cannot be earned in both SCM 4723 and TECH 4723.
