Students explore the relationships between the tructures of metals, ceramics, glasses, and polymers and the thermal, optical, magnetic, and electrical properties of those materials.
Prerequisite: CHEM 1223 General Chemistry II and MATH 2614 Calculus I.

Note: Credit cannot be earned in both CHEM 4243 and CHEM 5243.
