This course focuses on the planning aspects of risk. Starting with the evaluation and development of risk analysis, including risk assessment, perception of risk, risk communication, as well as risk management. This course also examines the mitigation of risk, involving technology, emergency management, disaster preparedness and response associated with all hazards. This course emphasizes the relationship with and use of risk analysis in establishing public participation, emergency preparedness, hazard mitigation, and the management of risk.
