SPED 3313 - American Sign Language I #CIP Code
3 Credit Hours
Introduction to American Sign Language which includes the development of receptive and expressive skills in authentic situations; an introduction to the Deaf culture. Emphasis will be on acquiring elementary conversational skills through targeted grammar, syntax, and vocabulary. The importance of nonverbal factors will be incorporated through the use of gestures, pantomime, body language, and eye training.
