NUTR 3201 - Food SafetyCIP Code 513101 1 Credit Hours Students learn safe food production practices governed by federal and state regulation including prevention of food-borne illness, proper handling of potentially hazardous foods, avoiding contamination, personal hygiene practices, time temperature abuse, and maintaining food safety standards throughout the flow of commercial food preparation. Upon completion of the course, students will take the National Restaurant Association (NRA) ServSafe examination.
