NURS 5154 - Technology in Nursing Education

Uses of various technologies in different teaching settings are addressed. Basic components of distance education modalities and platforms are explored. Nursing informatics, social network systems, and simulations are some additional areas relevant to use in nursing education. Theories are integrated with technology in distance education. Requires a total of 64 field experience hours over the semester through which the student further explores technologies and application in the classroom.
Prerequisite: Admission into the Master’s of Science in Nursing Degree Program.
