OCTH 5253 - Psychosocial Eval & Intervention


3 Credit Hours
This course explores theoretical frameworks, evaluation, intervention, and documentation related to occupational therapy intervention for individuals with psychiatric and behavioral disorders.  Related legislation and reimbursement issues will be discussed.  DSM classifications, common medications and their side effects, and the use of interventions across practice areas will be covered.
Prerequisite: OCTH 5013, OCTH 5133, OCTH 5123. Corequisite: OCTH 5811.
