OCTH 5042 - Client Care Skills

Basic skills needed for occupational therapy practice will be reviewed and practiced. Covered in this course are HIPPA and confidentiality, blood-borne pathogens and universal precautions, vital signs training, positioning and draping techniques, client handling techniques, use of wheelchairs and ambulation devices, and patient care equipment. Safety will be emphasized.
Prerequisite: Acceptance into the Occupational Therapy Program.
