The student will learn foundational and practical aspects of the practice of internal medicine and is expected to gain familiarity with the care of the adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The student will gain a clear understanding of the common diseases that affect the adult population with special emphasis on the unique challenges faced in the rural health care setting.
Restrictions: Acceptance into the Physician Assistant Studies program with successful completion of the didactic year; Cumulative 3.0 GPA; and permission from PAS Program Director.
