CHER 4113 - Cherokee Cultural Heritage


Description: The study of Cherokee culture from the time of initial contact with Europeans to the contemporary Cherokee society. Various aspects of the culture will be examined and among the topics covered will be: social and political organization, laws and governance, subsistence and agriculture, economic changes, languages and literacy, ceremony and ritual, and everyday life ways.
