Description: Students continue study of medical nutrition therapy; examining physiological and metabolic bases for dietary modifications in disease states. Students become versed in nutrition management of disease through medical nutrition therapy practice. Students learn to apply medical data as appropriate to various disease states.

Prerequisite: NUTR 3583 Nutritional Assessment and Counseling and NUTR 3763 Medical Nutrition Therapy I with a minimum grade of C or instructor permission.
