COUN 5963 - Advanced Counseling Theory and Techniques

Description: Students will engage in an in-depth review of theory, practices and research associated with commonly used clinical theories of counseling and psychotherapy. Students will develop competency in a prescribed theoretical orientation to counseling and psychotherapy. Students will learn and demonstrate competency in the theoretical principles of specific theory of counseling and psychotherapy as identified by the instructor.

Credit Hours: 3
Restrictions: Graduate standing is required.
Note: Course enrollment will have to meet the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Programs (CACREP) faculty:student ratio standards.
