    Description: This course examines how the ideas and issues of human rights can assist in the development of economic and social justice, and serve as a strategy for social change.  The document, Universal Declaration of Human rights and other documents such as the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples will also be discussed.  The current state of international human rights law is viewed as a social construct and a motivator to move people to action for the fulfillment of well-being and multiple human needs of global citizens.
