BIOL 5543 - Molecular Biology3 Credit Hours Advanced coverage of molecular cell biology and molecular genetics. Lectures describe the molecular and cellular mechanisms used to control differentiation and tissue maintenance. Topics may include: gene regulation, chromosome structure, genome organization, signal transduction, cell cycle regulation, and cell adhesion. Prerequisite: BIOL 3114 Genetics and BIOL 3214 General Entomology. Cross-listed: BIOL 4543. Note: Credit cannot be earned in both BIOL 4543 and BIOL 5543.
