MBA 5123 - Analysis for Business Decision Making3 Credit Hours This course covers the development, implementation, and utilization of business models for managerial decision making. Students will study key quantitative decision-support tools useful in all areas of management. This course will discuss some of the most widely used tools of management science (including Optimization Models, Simulation Models, Project Management, etc). The emphasis will be on model formulation and applications, rather than the mathematical developments. Spreadsheets will be used extensively along with real cases to prepare managers for the types of problems they will encounter on the job. The goal is to empower students to identify, model and solve practical business problems. Prerequisite: Approved undergraduate statistics course or MBA 5013 Business Foundations I: Statistics and Management and MBA 5113 Reasoning for Business Decision Making.
