SOWK 5613 - Human Diversity

Students learn about human diversity by critically examining theoretical frameworks, empirical findings, and problem solving strategies and their effectiveness in providing social services to culturally diverse populations. Students analyze the effects of color or gender-based discrimination in the stress framework, with a focus on the strengths and resources developed within the minority experience.
