ELED 4563 - Management of the Elementary Classroom and Curriculum CIP Code:
Description: A course designed to aid the elementary education major in synthesizing the elementary education course content and to cover the following topics: Characteristics of good teachers; organizing for teaching in regard to goals, time, and materials; various organizational plans including lesson and unit planning, grouping, and interest centers; observation and guidance of children’s learning in an appropriate learning environment; classroom management skills as related to teaching, control, and discipline and parent conferencing.
Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours:
Co-requisite: EDUC 4032 Pre-Internship II. Restrictions: Minimum 2.75 GPA and full admission to Teacher Education.
