HCA 4013 - Leadership, Policy and Ethics CIP Code: 512211
Description: Students learn leadership, policy and ethical decision making in the delivery of health care and population health initiatives in diverse multicultural settings. Students apply moral reasoning, based on various ethical theories, to health care concerns encountered by health care professionals, policy makers and clinicians. Using critical thinking, real-world application, and decision-making, students analyze and examine major strands of U.S. health policy including the healthcare policy environment in the U.S, government-funded health care through Medicaid and Medicare and current health care reform initiatives.
Credit Hours: 3 Contact Hours:
Prerequisite: HCA 4223 Quality Management and Patient Safety with a minimum grade of C.
