Description: Students gain critical perspectives on the global food system and the ways colonization, industrialization, and corporatization shaped the current food system. Students examine current challenges in the global food system including food waste, inequitable labor practices, health concerns, inefficient food aid and inequities relating to race, class, gender, and indigeneity.
