HCA 5013 - Healthcare Policy and Ethical Leadership

Description: Students will analyze the U.S. health care system, its leadership components, ethical boundaries, and the policy challenges. The focus will be on major health policy institutions and important issues that cut across institutions, including private insurers and the federal/state financing programs, and how ethical leadership and decision-making influence these contemporary problems. An emphasis will be on defining problems in the health policy arena and offering practical solutions that are politically, ethically, and economically feasible.

Credit Hours: 3
Restrictions: Must be admitted to the Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s Degree Program. Credit may not be earned toward the bachelor’s degree for both HCA 4013 Leadership, Policy & Ethics and HCA 5013 Healthcare Policy and Ethical Leadership.
