ELED 4563 - Management of the Elementary Classroom and Curriculum

Description: Teacher candidates explore and evaluate topics essential to effective classroom management including the following topics: Characteristics of good teachers; organizing for teaching in regard to goals, time, and materials; lesson and unit planning, grouping, and interest centers; observation and guidance of children’s learning; creating an appropriate learning environment; classroom management skills as related to teaching, control, and discipline; and parent conferencing.

Credit Hours: 3
Co-requisite: EDUC 4032 Pre-Internship II.
Restrictions: Minimum 2.50 GPA and full admission to Teacher Education.
