PSYC 3353 - Positive Psychology Description: This course surveys the positive aspects of human functioning. Topics include positive emotions and traits, the influence of work and relationships on happiness, coping and resilience, spirituality and well-being, and diversity in optimal functioning. The theories and methods underlying this field of inquiry also are examined, as are the implications of positive psychology for psychotherapy and education. Students explore these topics in depth by discussing and writing about the issues and their implications for the study of human thought and behavior and for everyday life.
