SOC 3323 - Social Statistics

Description: Students explore the presentation and application of descriptive and inferential statistics commonly used in sociology, social work, and gerontology. Students gain experience in table and chart construction, working with measures of central tendency and dispersion, and applying correlational analysis and hypothesis testing. Specific applications for survey research are emphasized.

Prerequisite: MATH 1313 Elementary Statistics, MATH 1473 Applied Mathematics, MATH 1513 College Algebra, MATH 1523 Functions and Change, or a Math ACT score of 23 or higher.
