MGMT 4283 - Social Entrepreneurship

Description: Students will compare and contrast traditional entrepreneurship with the ways in which social ventures address social problems and unmet needs.  Students will also measure the social impact of their ventures and compare them with comparable efforts in development and philanthropic initiatives.  Students will be exposed to contemporary developments in the field and will be encouraged to think critically about the issues faced by social ventures in urban, tribal or rural areas and across the globe.

Prerequisite: MGMT 3263, Principles of Entrepreneurship or MGMT 3323 Creativity, Innovation, Opportunity with a minimum grade of C.
