HIST 3293 - Europe, 1815-1914 Description: A study of Europe between the end of the Napoleonic Empire and World War I. Special attention will be given to the following major themes of the 19th century: the period of reaction and revolution, liberal-nationalism, socialism and Marxism, the Industrial Revolution and social consequences, and the unification of Italy and Germany.
