SPED 3343 - American Sign Language IV Description: American Sign Language (ASL) IV is a continuation of the study of ASL III. Students further develop receptive and expressive skills in ASL for conversational, instructional, and artistic (formal and informal) situations including an expanded emphasis on expressive skills. Students will learn how to narrate, describe, compare, and comment to further develop ASL fluency. Vocabulary, use of classifiers, and grammar will be emphasized. The course will also continue the study of Deaf culture.
Credit Hours: 3 Prerequisite: SPED 3333 American Sign Language III with a minimum grade of C or instructor permission.
