SPED 5203 - Evidence-Based Strategies & Curriculum Design for Students with ASD CIP Code: 131001 Description: Teacher candidates will gain knowledge and implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, functional, and social strategies effective for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Teacher candidates will learn to design curriculum based off the individual needs of students, state standards, and appropriate placement options. Teachers will create and implement Individualized Education Plans for students with ASD.
Credit Hours: 3 Restrictions: Must be admitted to the Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master’s Degree Program. Credit may not be earned toward the bachelor’s degree for both SPED 4223 Instructional Design and Curriculum for Students with Disabilities and SPED 5203 Evidence-Based Strategies & Curriculum Design for Students with ASD.
