ENGR 3913 - Computational Methods in Engineering

Description: Students will explore basic concepts and methods in numerical computation as applied to problems in engineering. Topics included are numerical solution of algebraic and transcendental equations, numerical solution of simultaneous linear equations, numerical derivative and integration, numerical solution of ordinary and partial differential equations, and Monte Carlo simulation.

Prerequisite: CS 2014 Computer Science I, MATH 2634 Calculus III, and PHYS 2215 Engineering Physics I.
