Description: Students learn human anatomy to prepare them for normal and abnormal conditions encountered by the practicing physician assistant. Organ systems covered in this course include musculoskeletal, neurological, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, integumentary, and cardiopulmonary. Biomechanical function, topographic and radiographic correlations, and clinical applications are emphasized. An in-depth understanding of the gross anatomy of the human body is obtained through lecture and cadaver dissection.
