PAS 5133 - Clinical Assessment and Counseling III CIP Code: 510912 Description: Students will enhance their fundamental patient assessment skills. Focus is on critical thinking, problem solving, and medical decision-making. Skills developed include patient interviewing, performance of organ-specific and comprehensive physical examinations, case presentations, and medical documentation that will align with the concentrations presented in Clinical Medicine III. The student will learn and practice principles of diagnosis, patient education, and counseling. The course will be taught by a series of lectures followed by group study.
Credit Hours: 3 Lecture contact hours per week: Restrictions: Acceptance into the Physician Assistant Studies program.
