H ED 2413 - Exercise and Sport Pharmacology CIP Code: 310505 Description: In this course, students will learn to critically analyze the ways pharmacological agents impact athletic performance and recovery. They will develop an understanding of how specific medications can enhance or hinder physical capabilities, as well as how exercise can alter the effectiveness and metabolism of these drugs. Students will gain insights into the physiological mechanisms behind these interactions, enabling them to make informed decisions in real-world sports and health contexts. Additionally, they will cultivate skills in evaluating research and applying evidence-based strategies to optimize performance while considering medication use. Through practical case studies, students will enhance their ability to navigate the ethical implications and health considerations in the realm of sports pharmacology.
