PAS 5754 - Emergency Medicine Rotation

Description: This core clinical rotation provides students with exposure to the principles and practice of emergency medicine. Students will gain exposure to the triage, evaluation, and management of patients in the emergent medicine setting. This rotation will provide the opportunity to refine techniques of history-taking and physical examination specific to the emergency medicine patient population. This rotation will expose students to conditions that are unique to the emergency medicine patient population so students are able to refine their ability to make the correct diagnosis and create an appropriate management plan. This clinical experience will enable the student to provide care as an entry-level physician assistant upon graduation.
