PAS 5744 - Behavioral Health Rotation

Description: This core clinical rotation provides students with exposure to the principles and practice of psychiatry and behavioral and mental health care. This rotation will provide the opportunity to refine techniques of history-taking and physical examination specific to the behavioral and mental health care patient population. This rotation will expose students to conditions that are unique to the behavioral and mental health care patient population so students are able to refine their ability to make the correct diagnosis and create an appropriate management plan. This clinical experience will enable students to provide care as an entry-level physician assistant upon graduation.

Restrictions: Acceptance into the Physician Assistant Studies program.
