The prehealth minor is intended for non life science majors that are interested in a medical health profession (medicine, dental, chiropractic, pharmacy, veterinary, optometry), an allied health profession (dental hygiene, medical imaging & radiation sciences, occupational or physical therapy, physician assistant/associate) or nursing. The prehealth minor consists of 18 hours, of which, 12 hours must be upper division; choose from the list below depending on your health profession interest. The minor must contain at least two different prefix codes (BIOL, CHEM, MATH, PHYS, PSYC, SCI). Please Note: There may be additional prerequisites beyond the 18 hours in the minor required for your specific health profession. Please consult the prehealth advisor.
The prehealth minor is not an option for life science majors, Biology (any option) or Chemistry (any option).
