Writing Program Administration Certificate

The Writing Program Administration (WPA) certificate confirms that the recipient has studied the management theory and practices related to administering educational writing programs, such as first year English studies, writing centers, or writing across the curriculum programs, as well as teaching composition theory and practices.

For admission, the applicant must meet the following criterion:

1.

Applicant shall be admitted to the Graduate College prior to enrollment.

2.

The applicant shall complete the following 12 semester hours:

ENGL 5223 - Administering Writing Program
ENGL 5443 - Screenwriting
ENGL 5323 - Writing Center Administration
ENGL 5483 - Composition and Technology
