Pre-Physical Therapy

The Pre-Physical Therapy program at NSU is designed for students interested in the Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. A minimum of 90 semester hours is required with a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. A minimum grade of C is required in all courses. Selection of students is competitive and is made on the basis of academic achievement, interview performance, and knowledge of health care services. Applicants must observe a minimum of 40 hours in a physical therapy setting and take the Graduate Record Exam prior to the February 1 application deadline. Early admission is available.

Minimum Requirements

Select one upper level Gen Ed courses 3 hours
Foreign Languages (2 courses in same language or 2 years of same language in high school) 6 hours

Electives

Select one science elective Science Elective 3-4 hours

Select one of the following Non Western Culture classes 3 hours

Recommended courses to reach the 90 hour minimum

(If foreign languages is taken at college only 5 of the recommended courses are needed. If foreign languages was taken in high school 7 of the recommended courses are required to meet the 90 hour minimum.)
