Minimum grade requirement for Spanish and Spanish Education: Students must earn a grade of “C” or better in courses to be used for either major or minor credit. Grades lower than a “C” in NSU or transfer courses will not apply for major or minor credit.

Note

Students with prior study of Spanish may receive credit for some or all of these courses by taking the CLEP exam. Students who begin their minor with SPAN 1123 or higher without credit for the lower courses must take additional electives to complete the required 18 hours for the minor.

6 hours of electives from the following, with at least 3 hours of upper-division credit

Note

For information on the French or German programs, please see the Dean of the College of Liberal Arts. To obtain a minor in a language, the student must take 18 hours in only one language area.
