Instructional Leadership, M.Ed. Embedded Certificate

Candidates acquire the information required to develop a curriculum management plan including writing curriculum, creating assessments, monitoring, and evaluating the curriculum.  The certificate will also provide candidates with knowledge about working with adults.  

At least 25 percent of the coursework applied to this embedded certificate must be satisfactorily completed at NSU.

Student Learning Outcomes

1. Incorporate the essential aspects of a school system into a curriculum management plan: the written curriculum guide, monitoring, evaluation, assessment, and professional development.
2. Distinguish between the written, taught, and assessed curricula.
3. Create an action plan to integrate andragogical leadership practices within an organization.
4. Identify actions to make improvements based on assessment data.
