Music Production

Students with minors in Music Production will focus their studies on contemporary audio and music production. Students learn how to operate in professional studios, run live-sound rigs, and control all elements of a recording session. Students will learn how to produce commercial quality recordings through the mastery of a digital audio workstation (DAW) With instruction from professional engineers, students explore both the analog and digital frameworks necessary to record, mix, and master music. Students will also learn to master the plugins and post-production audio equipment necessary to excel in the field. Student with training in music production can work in live sound, recording studios, produce podcasts, use a DAW to score films, and other cutting edge careers in a lucrative part of the music industry.
