MLS 4466 - Advanced Clinical Bacteriology

6 Hours. The theory and laboratory study of pathogenic bacteria. Includes isolation, identification, antimicrobial susceptibility testing, and medical significance of bacteria. Topics of quality control, computer applications, safety and governmental regulations will also be covered. Laboratory competencies completed at affiliated clinical site. Prerequisite: Completion of clinical core prerequisites for the Medical Laboratory Degree Completion program.
