COUN 5753 - Addiction Group Counseling

3 Hours. This course provides an in-depth exploration of a variety of substance abuse “group” theoretical approaches. Group interventions/skills useful in the treatment of substance abuse and addiction. This course combines participatory experiences and lecture based instruction that focuses on the integration and application of substance abuse group theory and practice. Note: Candidacy in the Substance Abuse Counseling program; must receive a “B” or better. Prerequisite: COUN 5413, 5663.
