COUN 5820 - Internship in Addiction Coun

1-6 Hours. Supervised counseling field experience in mental health agency (300 clock hours/3 credit hours). Students will counsel clients with substance abuse and addiction issues. Supervised by on-site, licensed mental health professional or licensed alcohol and drug counselor with at least a master’s degree in counseling. Prerequisite: Candidacy in the Master of Science in Counseling, Addiction Counseling program, in final semester of program, application for internship, and permission from the Addiction Counseling Internship Coordinator or Departmental permission.
