PHYS 5623 - Electrodynamics

3 Hours. This class is for first-year graduate students in physics and related fields. Familiarity with theory of electricity and magnetism at the level of an upper division undergraduate physics course is assumed. Material to be covered includes Maxwell Equations, electrostatics and boundary value problems, magnetostatics, Faraday’s Law, electromagnetic wave, wave guides and resonant cavities, electromagnetic radiation, and the special theory of relativity.
