Students study the structure and function, growth and reproduction, metabolism, genetics, ecology, and diversity of microorganisms including prokaryotes, unicellular eukaryotes, and viruses.
Prerequisite: BIOL 1013/1011 Introductory Biology I Lecture and Lab and CHEM 1223/1231 General Chemistry II Lecture and Lab.
Co-requisite: BIOL 3224L Microbiology Lab.
