The study of 20th century and contemporary compositional practices in harmony, rhythm, and sound. In-depth score analysis, student writing exercises and compositions utilized. Concurrent enrollment is required in MUS 3061 Music Theory IV (Aural).
Prerequisite: MUS 3553 Music Theory III (Harmony) with a minimum grade of C.
