This course presents a broad overview of conducting generalist social work practice with families and introduces students to phases of practice, family systems, assessments, and interventions. The course further emphasizes student development of knowledge, values and skills in micro, mezzo and macro levels, as well as, awareness of the NASW Code of Ethics. The course also includes developing an awareness of diverse populations.
