SOWK 4123 - Domestic Violence

Students examine the definitions and scope of family violence in today’s society including prevalence, etiology, myths, and dynamics of child physical abuse, incest, rape, sibling violence, intimate partner violence (IPV), and elder abuse and neglect. The course includes a review of the issues, policies, programs, and services aimed at remedying and eliminating violence in the home.
