Students will acquire in-depth knowledge of health care informatics which is the intersection of information science, computer science, quantitative analysis and health care. Students will learn about the resources, devices, and methods required to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval, and use of information in health and biomedicine. Students will gain experience with health informatics tools including computer programs, analysis tools, clinical guidelines, formal medical terminologies, and information and communication systems.
Prerequisite: MBA 5123 - Analysis for Business Decision Making and MBA 5533 - Information Systems for Managerial Problem Solving.
Restrictions: Must be admitted to the Bachelor’s to Master’s Degree Program.
