BIOL 4133 - General Virology
Description: Basic principles relevant to bacteriophages, plant, vertebrate and invertebrate viruses; biochemistry of viral infection in hosts; and ecology of viruses. In vitro and in vivo demonstration of basic phenomena associated with replication and biological properties of viruses.
Credit Hours: 3
Prerequisite: BIOL 3224 Microbiology.
Cross-listed: BIOL 5133.
Note: BIOL 3114 Genetics recommended. Credit cannot be earned in both BIOL 4133 and BIOL 5133.
